Restorative Justice seeks volunteers
The Carlton County Communities Restorative Justice Program is looking for volunteers.
The RJ program works with Carlton County youth who are facing a delinquency action for violation of the law and/or behavior that has caused harm. Restorative Justice uses a variety of processes, including circles, conferencing, education, mediation and community service.
RJ responds to referrals from schools and the criminal justice system and provides a variety of volunteer opportunities that fit into most schedules.
Volunteers must attend a free three-hour training and pass a background check. Register by contacting RJ coordinator Carrie Manty at email@example.com or at 218-384-4285.
The next free training session is from 5:30–8:30 p.m. June 19 on the second floor of Carlton County Public Health and Human Services, 14 N. 11th St., Cloquet. A light meal will be provided.
